Dorothy D. Moore

Dorothy was a 1959 Central High School graduate. She retired from Schutte Lithography printing in 2008. She enjoyed reading anything she could get her hands on, and when she wasn’t watching Law & Order SVU, she was cheering on her beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Dot loved gardening and all animals, she had a special place in her heart for cats, but an even bigger heart for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Moore; son, Clifford Moore; parents, Denford and Audrey Allen (Vincent); sisters, Naomi Spurling, Linda Myers, Debra Kensell, Brenda Vaughn; brothers, Bobby and Dale Allen; grandson, Travis Moore.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Rocky Moore; grandchildren, Jason, Tawana, Kelly, Cassie, Tara, Amanda and Natosha; siblings, Gerald Allen, Bessie Smith, Mary Allen, Danny Allen, Betty Masterson, Glenda Vaughn, Judith Salas, Michael and Charlene Allen; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Pastor Ron Vaughn and livestreamed at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 and Friday 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
