

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Richey, 74, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at her home. She was born December 7, 1940, the oldest of three daughters, in Evansville, to the late Mabel (Hale) Daily.
She graduated from North High School where she sang in the choir. She was a secretary at her late husband’s dental office in Haubstadt. Liz was an almost 50 year member of Bluegrass UMC, where she was very active and a member of Nena Circle and softball. She loved music, crocheting, cooking, and going morel hunting. Her children and five grandchildren were her first love. She was very independent, loving, understanding and had a great sense of humor and a famous wit that attracted everyone around her. She was also a breast cancer survivor.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Don Richey, DDS in 2007.
She is survived by son, Mike (Trina) Richey; daughters, Stacey Richey and Angela Richey and Kristi (Shaun) Williams; grandchildren, Malorie, Evan ,Journey, Alivia and Donavin; sisters, Lynn Oliver and Donna (Clive) Guthridge; sister in law, Barbara (Ed) Brunck; step- brother in-law, Fred (Kathy) Santiago; step-sister in-law, Janet Santiago; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Monday, July 27, 2015, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Rev. Doug Heiman, with burial in Bluegrass Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home and Monday from 10:00AM to service time.
