

Eloise attended Central High School and then became an instructor at Arthur Murray’s Dance Studio which sparked her lifelong love of dancing. She then worked at General Tire before becoming a legal secretary at Bates Law Office.
Eloise was a member of The Kennel Club, Eagles, Daughters of the Nile, and the Evansville Country Club where she was an avid golfer.
She volunteered with the Evansville Branch Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, was a Philharmonic Guild Volunteer where she served on the Evansville Philharmonic Guild Board of Directors.
Some of her many charitable contributions were for student scholarships, Willard Library, and Planned Parenthood.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Madeline and Vernon Jennings; husband, Claude Bates; brother, Ronald Jennings; sisters, Joyce Hall and Jackie Jennings; son Tony Winterheimer; and granddaughter, Andrea Kramer.
She is survived by her daughters, Treva Kramer, (Haydn) and Lisa Faw (Gary); daughter in law, Debra Winternheimer; grandchildren, Courtney Carver (Tarick), Codi Vraniak (C.Chris), Ashton Kramer, and Kyle and Madeline Winternheimer; great grandchildren, Mylah Elise Carver, Vera, Jack Jennings, and Jordy Vraniak; nieces and nephews, Cindy Cook, Lynn Hall, Terri Rocco (Pat), Deborah Endress, Clyde Beckam, Rick Maddox, and Ron and Victor Jennings; as well as her much loved adopted sister, Grace Wilson, and TaLisa Small and family; and adopted family James Ealum (Paige) and family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 18, 2023 at Alexander North Chapel. Friends and family may visit from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
