Eric Robert Ungethiem

Eric was born on May 11, 1984 in Evansville, IN. He was raised in Darmstadt, IN and graduated from Central High School in 2002. Early in life, Eric developed a reputation for being a hard worker. His work ethic continued throughout his career into his last job working for HA Lewis as a HVAC Installer. Those closest to Eric say he could accomplish anything. He was truly gifted.

Eric will be remembered as a loving, loyal and protective son, brother, grandson, friend, uncle, nephew and cousin. Even though Eric appeared quiet and serious, if one listened closely, sarcastic humor and a mischievous grin would soon follow. He was known for his quick reaction to protect anyone he cared about. Eric embodied strength to fend off any potential danger, yet had a gentle way of connecting with animals and children. Eric loved his dogs, Hester and Sissy, more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Nita Ungethiem, Jack Dywer, uncle Mike Ungethiem and aunt Laura Nussmeier.

Eric will be truly missed by his parents, Jeff and Maureen Ungethiem, siblings, Jeffrey and Angella Ungethiem, Craig and Angelena Ungethiem, Andrew and Krystal Ungethiem, niece, Heather Ungethiem, nephews, Jacob, and Zachary Ungethiem, grandma, Irene Dwyer, aunts and uncles, Bruce and Debbie Ungethiem, Cathy and David Gray, Lynda and Brent Branson, Jackie Veegh, Ellen and Mike Massie (godparents), Karen and Mike Kane, Missy Dwyer, Tim Nussmeier, and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held at Salem Church of Darmstadt, 14134 Darmstadt Road, Evansville, IN on Monday May 4th, 2015 at 10:00AM, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM Monday May 4th, prior to the funeral service at the church. Visitation will also be held Sunday, May 3rd, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM located at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road. The family will be there to greet relatives and friends.
