Esther Louise Moore

Esther was born in Chauncey, Illinois, on November 10, 1934, the daughter of Lewis S. and Minta M (Rigall) Stoltz, Sr. She married Robert R Moore on December 30, 1955.

Esther graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1952. After her marriage to Robert, they moved to La Porte, IN for work and then returned to Illinois to work and be near family and the family farm. Work later took Esther and Bob to Evansville where they raised their two daughters. Esther worked at Bethel Temple Church, Sears Roebuck and in the wholesale food market with Robert. Esther was also a faithful member of Bethel Temple where she enjoyed singing in the choir. They moved to Cape Coral, FL and both retired there in 1993. They later moved back to Evansville, Indiana. In 2012, Esther became part of the Newburgh Healthcare Family where she was well loved by staff members and all there.

Surviving are her two daughters, Jackie Brand (Mike) of Evansville, and Julianne (Julie) Ellis (Mark) of Clinton, WA; two grandchildren, Wesley and Amanda Ellis, and four great grandchildren Aiden, Jackson, Lucy, and Ada. She is also survived by her sister Belinda (Stoltz) Pottorff.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Moore, in 1995, her parents and siblings Harold Stoltz, Margaret (Stoltz) Mitchell, Lewis Stoltz Sr, Gene Stoltz, Ada (Stoltz) Parrott and Willard (Bud) Stoltz.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, 2200 Mesker Park Dr, Evansville, IN, with Rev. David Schwambach officiating. Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the cemetery.
