Fay J. Reine

Fay J. Reine, nee Brown, 88, passed away early on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. She was born September 7, 1935 in Logan County, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Richard Reine; her daughter, Laura E. Reine; and her brother, Michael Brown. She is survived by her sons, Steven K. Reine of Evansville, IN and Jeffery G. Reine of St. Petersburg, FL; and her brother, Jerry N. Brown of Mount Pleasant, SC. She was an impeccable wife, mother, sister and homemaker, and enjoyed traveling, hiking and mystery books, in her younger years. To her, family, especially her daughter, was everything and she lived this day in and day out. Later in life her joys included having her family with her, her caregivers and watching TV, very often and NCIS or Charmed episode! There are so many fond memories of Fay, that we find it difficult to isolate the most important. From acting as a true mother for more than her children to being a second mom to many, she was an incredible person with many, many facets to love. The love she provided to us is immeasurable. We all will dearly miss her love, smile, warm heart and sense of humor and we are thankful she is whole once again! A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN, 47712, officiated by Jerusha Van Camp. Friends may visit from 9:30 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
