Frances Lynn Thomas

Frances Lynn Thomas, 61, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born on September 13, 1963, in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, to the late Early Wills and Willean (Dortch) Thomas.

She was lovingly known by her family as Lynn, and her friends at the Waters of Dillsboro and Benchmark Human Services as Frannie. Lynn had a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She was an avid fan of Michael Jackson and found happiness in simple pleasures, such as enjoying a McDonald’s Big Mac meal with a large Coke. A lover of music and dancing, she often brought joy to those around her with her vibrant personality. Lynn also participated in Special Olympics, where she created lasting memories and friendships.

She was fortunate growing up around the Darrett family, with whom she shared many happy moments throughout her life. Lynn was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many. Her kind heart and playful nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lynn is survived by her sisters, Pamela Cooper, Mary Stith, and Irene Martin; brothers, Hurley and JR Thomas; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends at Benchmark Human Services and The Waters of Dillsboro.

She was preceded in death by her father, Early Wills; mother, Willean Thomas; brothers, Roy and Edward Wills; and sisters, Dorothy Wills Stith, Elsie Wills Meriwether, and Mary Wills.

A private Memorial Service will be held at Alexander East Chapel.
