Gary Madding

He graduated from Bloomington High School where he was valedictorian. Gary received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University in 1962 and his Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from Purdue University in 1966. He began his career working at Monsanto and started at Bristol Myers in 1968, working there for 30 years. He concluded his career with Bristol Myers in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Gary taught Bible School, ran Bible Studies, and served on several mission trips. He was active in Tres Dias. Gary loved wood-working, computer graphics, and photography.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jann (Christner) Madding; son, Shaun Edward Madding; daughters, Sigrid Madding Schwartz and Megan Madding Foster; grandchildren, Spencer Schwartz, Carter Schwartz, Taylor Madding, and Jordan Foster; great-grandchildren, Alina and Jayden Lee; and brother, Edward Madding (Joy) of Texas.

Hospice for their care.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel with Rev Pat Jackson and Fr. Chris Forlor officiating. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
