

Gene was a machinist for Faultless Caster for over 38 years, member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union, and member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping, and was a skilled craftsman. He enjoyed spending time with family and spoiling his grandkids.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beatrice Spicer and several siblings.
He is survived by son, Alex Spicer (Gail) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Natalie Spicer of Evansville; son, Eugene Spicer (Jessica) of Evansville; Grandchildren, Adam Spicer, Nicole Hamilton, Alec Spicer, Thayer “Bubbles” Spicer, Jake “Snowman” Spicer; sisters, Colleen Collins of Evansville, Shirley Howard of Louisville, KY, Candace Marks of Paris, KY, Marie Higgins of Caplon, VA, Patricia Cato of Waldorff, MD, and Bonnie Jones (Douglas) of Paris, KY; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Rabon L. Turner, Sr., with burial in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday, April 22 at the funeral home.
