Helen V. Oeth

Helen V. (Owen) Oeth, 98, of Evansville, IN passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Envive of River City. She was born in New Harmony, IN on September 14, 1926 to William B. and Stella (Garner) Owen.

Helen graduated from New Harmony High School. She was an active member of Simpson United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Mary Ruth Circle. Helen enjoyed playing bunco, crafting and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Stella Owen; husband, Gene V. Oeth; and siblings.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Yeager, Marilyn Atchison and Sherilyn Wuertz (Philip); grandchildren, Amy West (Andrew), Jonathan Yeager, Douglas DeLong, Jared DeLong (Andrea), Jason Wuertz and Justin Wuertz (Molly); great-grandchildren, London West, Oaklyn Yeager, Leif DeLong and Allison Wuertz; niece, Elizabeth Koester and several other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, IN officiated by Pastor Kenny Armitage followed by entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
