Henry A. Basham

Henry A. Basham, 84, of Evansville, IN passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1941, in Hawesville, KY to the late Ray V. and Katherine M. (Rowland) Basham.

Henry was a Machine Operator, clock number 197, for 25 years at Firestone/Accuride in Henderson, KY. He was a member of the United Auto Workers. Henry was passionate about gardening, camping, and feeding birds and squirrels. He loved classic country music and bluegrass.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Edward Basham, Louise Fritz, Billy Basham, Robert Basham, and Paul Basham.

Henry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda K. (Birdwell) Basham; daughters, Darlene Woolston (Kevin) and Pat Burch (Alvin); sons, Jeff Basham, Alvin Basham (Tiffany), and Matt Basham (Jennifer); grandchildren, Amanda Carson, Melissa Carson, Heath Burch, Jessica Basham, Jeremy Bowman, Megan Basham, Kensie Morris, Riley Basham, Reese Basham, and Lily Basham; 5 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Bryce, Michael, Anna, and Theo; sisters, Brownie Cooper and Joan Brandle; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with Pastor Bill Altman officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Monday. Entombment will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
