Herbert G. Perry

Herbert G. Perry, 83, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, at his home. He was born December 10, 1927, in West Moreland, TN. He was raised in Hanson, KY and was a resident of Evansville for over 60 years.

He was a World War II veteran of the Navy, a Scout Master, an avid fisherman and wood craftsman.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Joyce I. Perry; children, Michael G. Perry and wife, Lyn; Dr. Rebecca P. Winsett, Keith A. Perry and wife, Marianne, and Brian Perry and wife, Linda; eight grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Perry, Dr. Katie Winsett, Brianna Winsett Chapman (Matt), Kimberly and Andrew Perry, Meghan and Grant Perry; and sister, Hallie Folz.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Donald Bernhardt, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, especially Cindy, and care aides, especially Sue, from Vista Care Hospice and Home Instead for the care provided.
