She enjoyed cooking and working, retiring after 45 years of employment.
Irma was preceded in death by her daughter, Leslie Valentine; son, Brian Valentine; husband, James Valentine; two brothers; and great-grandsons, D’Mariea Fox, Jr. and Edward Adams III.
She is survived by her son, Orlando Dixon; grandchildren, De’Arius, Adrian, Nashonika, and Christina Valentine, Martez Banks, Amil Rogers, and Titania Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Dra’Von, Liam Valentine, Jarvice Sears, and Keirra Holler.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Memorial Baptist Church, 645 Canal Street, officiated by Rev. Adrian Brooks, with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time at the church.
