Janet Louise Eggers

Janet Louise Eggers, 77, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at Hamilton Pointe. She was born February 24, 1942 in Chester, IL to the late Robert and Geneva (Nausley) Eggers. She graduated from Scott School in 1956, Reitz High School in 1960 and the University of Evansville. Janet worked at and retired from Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Co. after 42 years of service. She was an active member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church. Janet is survived by her sister, Carol Leonhardt of Evansville; niece, Jody Kostbade (Steve) of Newburgh; nephews, Donald Leonhardt (Lori) of Elberfeld, John Leonhardt of Ballston Lake, NY and Robert Leonhardt of Evansville; grand nieces and nephews, and childhood friend of 72 years, Erin Knee Cosh of Denver. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Blue Grass United Methodist Church Chapel Campus, 14240 Petersburg Road, officiated by Rev. Doug Heiman, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Grass United Methodist Church.
