Jeannette Yvonne Smith

Jeannette Yvonne Smith, 66, of Evansville, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at her home. She was born June 19, 1951, in Evansville, IN to the late Jesse E. and Violet M. Smith. She enjoyed playing Bingo, collecting movies and reading her Bible. Jeannette loved family get-togethers and drinking coffee with her lifelong friend, Mavis Willis. Jeannette was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Bruce Smith Sr., Helen Fowler-Huff, Robert Smith, David D. Smith, Charlotte Jones, Norma R. Smith and Jesse R. Smith; and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Christi Shelton (James Bowling) and Misty McCormick (Nathan); grandchildren, James, Jessica and Draven Shelton, Caleb Hensley, Brendan and Kassidy McCormick, and Linzy Barre; sisters, Eleanore Baysinger, Diane Lynch (Richard II), Rebecca Bellinger (Steve) and Rhonda Sue Bowling (Joe Robinson); brothers, Joseph Smith (Patty), Leslie Smith Sr., William G. Smith and Thomas W. Smith (Deann); and may cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel.
