 Obituario de Jennifer Mae Hunsaker
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Jennifer Mae Hunsaker (Walker) of Evansville, IN, passed away on May 15, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, surrounded by her family. Jennifer was born on September 17, 1962 in Evansville to Bobbie Walker and Dorothy Paulin. Jennifer was a devoted and loving wife, mom, mother-in-law, mawmaw, sister, aunt, and friend. She worked as a CNA for 27 years and was also an amazing caregiver to many outside of her career. She held great joy and pride in her family. She knew no stranger, and would treat anyone she met as if she knew them her whole life. She was the kindest woman, who could brighten the darkest days, and would extend her kindness and light to anyone in need without hesitation. No matter what she may have been going through, she would be sure that everyone around her was happy, no matter the cost. She wouldn’t let anyone see her without her signature red lipstick and her hair fixed. She took great pride in her home and making sure it was always decorated for every season and holiday. She loved her pets, music, singing and dancing, telling jokes, warm blankets and shawls, purses, shoes, jewelry, slot machines, and Coca-Cola. She had a special love for Christmas and the gathering of her family in her home. Her bright smile, warm hugs, and loving heart will be missed by us all. To know her was to know true and unconditional love. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; Bruce Walker; grandparents; fathers’ in-law John Hunsaker Sr. and James Floyd, and her lifelong best friends Cheryl Titzer, Bridgette Hamm, and Joni Brown. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Douglas Hunsaker Sr. Her daughter, Kristina Hunsaker-Harris; son, Douglas “Dougie” Hunsaker Jr. (Jamie), and daughter, Brianna Hunsaker (Steve); grandchildren, Summer Harris (Hunter), Dalton Stevens, Tyler and Madison Hunsaker, Mia and Maci Justis; sisters, Karen Phillips (Lloyd) and Brenda Sotolongo (Steve); mother-in-law, Shirley Floyd; brothers-in-law, John Hunsaker Jr. (Eva), Ronald Nurrenbern, Robert “Bobbie” Cawhorn, and Jerry Hunsaker; sister-in-law, Anna Lowe; Mark and Jeri Keller. As well as her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of Deaconess Midtown Hospital for the care and compassion they showed in Jennifer’s final hours. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at All Saints Parish - St. Joseph Church Campus, 600 E. Virginia St., Evansville, IN, 47711.
