

He was a graduate of Baldwin Heights High School in Princeton, IN and was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. He retired from the Laborer’s Union Local 561, where he was a member for 30 years. After he retired, he enjoyed coffee and shooting the bull with his friends at the hall. He loved family Sunday dinners after church, spending time with his grandkids, fishing, camping, hunting and playing cards.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara Ann DeLong and Mary Kline; brothers, Roy and Thomas DeLong, and 3 half-brothers, Eric DeLong, Jimmy Rainey and Bobby Rainey and half-sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy (Robinson) DeLong; daughter, Karla Keese; son, Joe DeLong; grandchildren, Haley (Josh) Fletcher, Lleyton DeLong, Hannah Keese and Andrew Keese; brother, Charles (Margaret) DeLong; half-brothers and sisters, Donnie Rainey, Jr. DeLong, Joe DeLong, Scott DeLong, Thomas DeLong, Bellana Howell, Mary DeLong, Jeanie Hufford, Sally DeLong and Jerri Pierce, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:00AM Monday, May 23, 2016, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., officiated by Rev. Jack Feldbusch, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 1:00PM to 6:00PM, Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the funeral home.
