

He was born September 5, 1951 in Kirksville, Missouri. Jerry has lost his long battle with Cancer. He has left an abundance of family and friends to go home. There he will be able to walk and talk with his mom, dad, his brother Richard, nephew Josh and baby Tammy Jo.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Haley; two sisters, Sharon (Ken) Johnson, Linda Wake, his adopted sister, Patty Sanders; three children, Kathy (Kevin) Selby, Jerry D (Kim) Haley, Mona Haley Gubber; two step children Michelle (Dave) Copeland and David Jarboe; 16 grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; mother of his children; cousins in Missouri, Iowa, and Colorado.
Jerry was a people person. He held many functions to collect money for the needy. Cedar Hall School was very close to his heart.
Next to his wife, Barbara, he loved his motorcycle. He made many long distance trips with his riding buddy Troyce Bates.
Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Pastor Rick Morphew. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
A special thank you to Dr. Sheryl Ziegler, his oncologist, and all the people at OHA. Also a big thank you to all his Holland friends and his brother by another mother, Jimmy Teeter and to all his Kentucky family, he loved them dearly. Jerry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
