

JoAnn (Nalley) Johns Mayhugh went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 10, 2016 while surrounded by her beloved family. Born December 18, 1942, in Morganfield, KY to Flossie (Weldon) Nalley and George McCoy Nalley. She adored her step father Elmer Griggs and Brother Curtis Nalley.
Proceeding JoAnn in death is her Mother, Father, Step Father, Brother, and Husband, Cliff Johns.
JoAnn married Cliff Johns August 31,1959 and became proud parents of three children, Joan Michelle Johns Taylor and husband Larry, Clifford Anthony Johns, and Kathy Renee Johns Mann and husband Kirk.
She was blessed with and so proud of her five grandsons, Brandon Johnson, CJ Johns and wife Ashton, McCoy Johns, Zachary Mann, Nicholas Mann and three Great Grand Children, Fox Johns, Slaide Johns, and little Brody. She is also survived by her ex-husband and friend of 20+ years, Harold Mayhugh and step daughter Amy Mayhugh.
JoAnn is a 1960 graduate of North High School. She attended University of Evansville and began her real estate career in 1973. She was currently employed as a real estate broker for ERA First Advantage Realty. She was a member of the National Association, Indiana Association and Southwest Association of Realtors and was one of the few realtors honored for 40+ years of continuous service with the National Association of Realtors. As a top agent and Multi-Million dollar producer, she loved selling homes and and enjoyed working with some of Evansville’s best clients. She earned her Master GRI, and was awarded Honor Realtor. JoAnn was also awarded the Realtor Emeritus Award.
She brightened our lives and made everyone feel so special. She loved her family and her many, many friends and was very devoted to her grandchildren. We will always carry your memory in our hearts, JoAnn.
Special thanks to her family for taking loving care of JoAnn, to Gateway staff, and a very special thank you to her dear friend Jan Kemp for the many hours she spent helping JoAnn’s daughter, Kathy and grandsons Zachary and Nicholas during her final days. Also, a special thank you to Patty Collins for singing beautiful songs of praise and worship to JoAnn with such love.
Funeral Services will be 1:00PM, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Bible Center Cathedral, 5000 N. First Avenue, officiated by Rev. Julie Wells, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 10:00AM to 1:00PM Saturday at the church.
