Rev. John Charles Blackburn, 65, passed away at his home Sunday, September 24, 2017. He was employed at the Division of Family Resources where he served the community as a caseworker. John graduated from Grace Theological Seminary with a Master’s Degree. He then served the Lord in Roanoke, VA, Vincennes, Evansville and Boonville; pastoring congregations with a servant’s heart. He also served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Northeast Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by wife of 32 years, Tina , and parents, Charles and Pauline.
John is survived by sister, Becky (Larry) Parrott, several cousins, and his brothers and sisters in Christ at Northeast Park Baptist Church.
A Funeral Service will be 12:00PM, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Northeast Park Baptist Church, 1215 N. Boeke Rd. Friends may visit Thursday from10:00AM to service at the church. Condolences may be made online at AlexanderNorthChapel.com.
