He enjoyed fishing, riding a motorcycle and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Jenkins and brother, Jeff Jenkins.
John is survived by his mother, Edna Jenkins; companion, Lilly Lord; children Dakota Jenkins, Jessica Lord; and brother, Richard Jenkins.
Services will be 7:00PM Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Alexander West Chapel. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00PM until service time at the funeral home.
