

John was a millwright at several local factories. He belonged to Carpenters Local Union #90. John was a talented guitarist and singer and played at several area venues. He was a member of the Owls and the Eagles. John’s family was very dear to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby and Daniel Neale, Sr.; and grandson, Jonathan DeTalente.
John is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Bray (Robert Clark); grandchildren, Heavenly McIntosh, Johnny DeTalente, Jr., and Jordan McIntosh; sisters, Betty Counts, Catie Fitzgerald, Dottie Baumeyer and Sandra Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville. The service will be viewable via livestream at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA. Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
