He was a Big IU Fan. He loved kids, animals and decorating the house for special seasons of the year. His grandson said “He won’t be able to light up the block anymore, but he will be the Brightest Star the Sky.”
He was preceded in death by parents, Donald “Jiggs” and Teresa DeVault; brothers, Kim, Brad, and Don DeVault; and sister, Penny Badger.
Jon is survived by wife, Shearon DeVault; son, Nick DeVault; daughters, Shelly Stone, Kayci DeVault (Matt) all of Evansville; 8 grandchildren; brother, Brett DeVault (Jenny); sisters, Cyndi Flittner, Mickie Wilsman (Stacy); nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at Alexander West Chapel. Services will be 1:00PM, Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Salem United Church of Christ.
