Juanita L. Berning

Juanita graduated from Corydon, KY High School. She was a Civilian Government Employee for many years and later in life retired from Kmart. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Willing Worker’s Sunday School Class. Juanita loved Bible Study and it was a must in her life. She also enjoyed other activities at the church, especially BSF.

She is preceded in death by her parents, of Corydon, KY; her devoted son, Donald Lee, II, of Evansville; and her brother, Edward Lambert, of Evansville.

Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Donald Berning; her loving precious daughter, Lisa Katzman (Nathan), of Bristow, VA; proud grandmother to Jesse Benjamin, of Bristow, VA, and Aaron Tyler Katzman, of Baltimore, MD; niece, Tracy Dye, of Mt. Vernon; nephew, Tim Lambert, of Henderson, KY, many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Ray Deeter, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from noon until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
