Kirk A Rickard

Kirk attended Mt. Vernon and Perry Heights grade schools and graduated from Reitz High School in 1990. Kirk was a sports enthusiast. Kirk played basketball and football for the Lakeview Optimist Club. He participated as a student-manager for the high school basketball team. Kirk attended several University of Evansville summer basketball camps while he was growing up.

Before his death, Kirk had worked for T. J. Maxx, Goodwill and the Blind Association.

Kirk was a member of the Lord’s House of Prayer in Newburgh, IN.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Ruth Browning; Paul and Irene (Ashby) Rickard; step-grandparents, Charles and Elizabeth (Pater) Sheldon; aunt, Paulette Rickard; and uncle, Clifford “Tippy” Trainer.

Kirk is survived by his mother, Janice (Rickard) Kipp; father, Stanley K. Rickard; step-mother, Rosemary (Sheldon) Rickard; brother, Shawn K. Rickard; uncles, Danny Browning, Keith Phillips, and Larry Weber; aunts, Judy (Browning) Trainer, Sandy (Browning) Weber and Monical (Rickard) Phillips.

Services will be 2:00PM, Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Peggy Brim. Friends may visit, Saturday, from noon until service time at the funeral home.
