

Larry K. Stricker, 63, of Evansville passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born March 21, 1950 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Edward J. and Bettye J. (Johnson) Stricker III.
He retired from the City of Evansville where he had worked 25 years. Larry was a member of the Machinist Union, Teamsters and the Owls. He was a commercial fisherman, and fished professionally in catfish tournaments. He enjoyed hunting and spending time deer hunting on his friend’s farm in Kentucky. In his youth, he was an accomplished swimmer and swam for the West Side swim team. He never met a stranger, and if wealth was judged by the amount of friends one has, he was the richest man in the world. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by many.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandy Knarian; and brother, Edward J. Stricker IV.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy (McKinley) Stricker; son, Bill (Tracy) Stricker; sister, Bonnie (Don) Brothers; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 AM Friday, March 21, 2014 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Bro. Dane Gray. There will be no graveside services. Friends may visit Thursday from 3-8 PM at the funeral home.
