Leo graduated from Memorial High School in 1952 and then attended Bramwells Business College. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Leo was a member of the VFW 1114 and American Legion Post 1301.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Marie Woodard in 1995; granddaughter, Jennifer Kerstein.
Leo is survived by his daughters, Laura Kerstein, and Beth Ann Dennis (Mike); grandchildren, Aaron Hammond (Amanda), Sarah Hammond, Christopher Dennis, Eric Dennis; two great grandchildren, Ona and Gabriel Hammond; sisters, Dorothy Hayes, Florence Thuerkauf; and special friend, Karlene Efinger.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Rev. Alan McIntosh, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Benedicts and Little Sisters of the Poor.
