

She was born June 3, 1943 in Corydon, Kentucky to Sylvester and Gertrude Duncan. She attended Bosse High School and as a teenager she worked at Hamilton’s Drive-In. Linda later worked at Shopper’s Fair and Kent Plastics. She had several hobbies; shopping, cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and her many friends.
Linda was a member of the Order of Owls and the Eagles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Gertrude (Stone) Duncan; brother, Charles Duncan; sister, Dorothy Sue O’Bryant.
Linda is survived by her companion of 19 years, Thomas Jackson; daughter, Mrs. Stephanie Downs; son, Christopher Norrington; granddaughter, Amy Jo; great-grandchild, Mariah, all of Evansville; brothers, Phillip, Albert, Johnny, Robert, and Marvin Duncan; sister, Lisa Evans; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Father Ted Tempel. Friends may visit from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 20 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, and from 10:00 AM to service time Thursday at the cemetery chapel.
