

Lindel Earl Wells, 85, of Evansville, passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at Pine Haven. He was born February 3, 1928, in Muhlenberg County, KY to the late Freddie Earl and Cora Bell (Walker) Wells.
He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1946-1947 and retired from Whirlpool as a Tooling and Mechanical Engineer. He was an active member of the West Side Church of Christ.
Lindel was preceded in death by his first wife, Willadean “Tommie” Wells; brothers, Carl, James and Benjamin Wells; and sisters, Esther Cook and Ruth Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Edith (Jones) Wells; sons, Brian L. Wells and J. Duane Wells (Tony Buccilli, Jr.); children, Pam Dietrich (George), Jackie Ogura (Tony Byrns) and Chris Jones (Krista); grandchildren, Christopher Wells, Amber LaBaw, Jhett Ogura and Cole, Kenzie and Kylie Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 7:30 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street, Evansville, officiated by Larry Albritton. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 7:30 PM at Alexander West Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 1, 2013, at Gary’s Funeral Home, 405 Hopkinsville Street, Greenville, KY, officiated by Bob Gardner, with burial in Cherry Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Betty Carol Mayes; all the nurses, staff and therapists at Pine Haven Nursing Home; Units 5100 and 3600 at Deaconess Hospital. They would also like to give a special thank you to Dr. Merral Lewis for the loving care he gave Lindel.
