Lloyd Brent Sander, 77, of Evansville, IN passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Linda White Hospice House. He was born on November 12, 1948, in Evansville to the late Ervin and Lillian (Meyer) Sander.
Lloyd was an excavator and heavy equipment operator for Floyd Staub for over 30 years, retiring in 2014. At that time, he started his dream job of farming with the Zwahlen Family, and worked for them until the Spring of 2025. Lloyd would often joke that he was a member of the FBI, Farm Boys of Indiana. He was a dedicated and active member at Salem Church of Darmstadt and served on the church counsel. Lloyd had a passion for antique tractors, especially restoring and collecting them. He was a founding member of SIAM (Southern Indiana Antique Machinery) Club. He loved traveling to antique tractor shows all around the Tri-State. Lloyd enjoyed any time spent with the grandkids and family, especially sharing his passion of tractors. Some of his biggest smiles were when he was taking the grandkids down the lane on the tractor. Lloyd had one of the kindest and most loving hearts. He was the foundation for his family, and an extremely devoted husband and father. He was always willing to help anyone. Lloyd will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and son, Lee Sander.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diana Sander; daughter, Lauri Trentman; grandchildren, Katelyn Rogus, Kaden Sander, and Grace Sander; and brother, Mark Sander.
