

She graduated from North High School in 1982. Lori enjoyed boating, camping, and fishing. She idolized her grandchildren and was affectionately known as "Mimi". Lori was a homemaker, a wonderful mother and a devoted grandmother. She dearly loved spending time with her family.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Helen Horton; nephew, Blake A. Horton; parents-in-law, Larry and Barbara Dimmett; and brother-in-law, Robert G. Dimmett.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, David Dimmett; children, David Michael Dimmett (Gretchen) and Haley Dimmett (Nathan); grandchildren, Chelsea, Rebecca, Noah, Mia, Wyatt, and Kyler; brother, A. Robert Horton (Tracey); nieces, Madison Horton and Ashley Horton; nephew, Bailey Sullivan; and great-nephews, Parker A. Horton and Owen L. Horton.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville, officiated by Pastor Cathy West. Entombment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
