On the morning of February 21, 2024, Luke Chapman went home and ran into the arms of the Father. Luke passed away after his transplanted heart went into an aggressive rejection 8 years after it saved his life. Luke was full of light wherever he went and was a joy to so many. He lived his life surrounded by his parents, Shawn and Jamie, and his 4 sisters, Avi, Kate, Elsie Jo, and Marley, who he loved dearly. His grandparents Steve “Papa” and Jody “Nana” Kostbade and Jerry “Pop” and Judy “Lolli” Dutton absolutely spoiled him rotten. He had cousins, aunts, and uncles who whole-heartedly loved and supported him from the day he arrived on this Earth. He is also survived by Marcia “Meemaw” Chapman and a community who loved and supported him every day of his life.
A celebration of Luke’s life and the work God did through it will take place on February 27, at Christian Fellowship Church, located at 4100 Millersburg Road in Evansville, IN. Visitation with the family will take place starting at 10, where refreshments will be offered. The service will begin at 12 and will be followed by a private burial by the family. Please join us in celebrating the wonderful gift of Luke’s life to this world. Luke's service will be livestreamed beginning at 11:50 a.m., please visit onlinecfc.online.church

Thank you to our hospice nurse Jenny, who quickly became a family friend and took great care of Luke in the short time she knew him.
