Lynda Kay Burrows

Lynda Kay Burrows, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Lynda was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late John and Kathleen Irene (Ervin) Gerring. Lynda was a 1965 graduate of Benton Harbor High School in Benton Harbor. While attending, she was in Thespians and German classes. She received a degree in 1988 from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Social/Science/Liberal Arts. In 1993 she received a degree from Vincennes University in Funeral Service/embalming. Lynda’s faith was very strong and believed in the Lord. She would pray daily from her bible and read the bible every day. She would spend spiritual time with her rosary and read scriptures out of the bible. She enjoyed going to garage sales and Goodwill shopping, walks in the park, especially walking at Rural King, watching movies, collecting rabbits and religious pieces. Lynda loved spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her pets, Milo and Harlem. She loved posting photos on Facebook to make people laugh. Although she lived a simple life and did not have a large family, she was dedicated to her three children, their families, grandchildren and great grandchildren with her unconditional love, full life, hugs, faith, spending time together and support in her home. Her day started and ended with a prayer with God that he would bless, guide and guard her children. She was a true friend and mother who was willing to do anything, if you were in her life. Mom was amazing and would always have a smile whenever you met or saw her. No matter what was going on or how busy, she would always be there for anyone! Lynda is survived by three children; daughter, Kimberlynn Cook; son, Brian Burrows (Krissy) and son, Paul Burrows; grandchildren, Spencer Englert, Brandon Ellett, Braelyn and Gannon Burrows, Kalli, Bryce, Elijah, Jayden, Ethan and Josiah Burrows; two great grandchildren, Sarda Ellett and Braxton Ellett; brother, Edd Gerring of Stevenville, MI and sister and best friend, Donna McGath Hanner Rider of San Antonio, TX. The family would like to thank the entire staff from the Emergency Room, Select Specialty Hospital, Encompass Health Deaconess, Rehabilitation Hospital, Parkview Nursing and Rural King for their wonderful care and attention they gave to mom and her family.
