Macie Mildred Lauer

Macie Mildred Lauer passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at River Bend Nursing Home. She was born on September 21, 1924 to the late Joseph and Anna Coghill. Macie was a wonderful cook, and loved sewing, gardening, and her flowers. She was a Reitz High School graduate and was a former member of Forest Hills Baptist, and currently a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Macie had unconditional love for her family and never raised her voice. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Herbert Lauer. Macie is survived by her sons, Darrell (Mary), Donald (Temple), Dale (Julie); grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer), Brent, Gwen (Barb), Jill, Kathy (Ryan), Adam (Tiffany) Becky (Jason); 17 great grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at River Bend Nursing and Rehab (Pine Haven) and Heart to Heart Hospice for their kind and loving care. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by Gerald Peeples with burial to follow in Alexander Memorial Park.
