Margaret "Ella" (Cox) Nisbeth

Margaret "Ella" (Cox) Nisbeth, 96, of Henderson, KY, formerly of Millersburg, Newburgh and Evansville, IN and Sebree, KY, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Red Banks Nursing Home in Henderson. She was born April 22, 1919, in Joelton, TN to the late Robert Henry and Mary Esperance (Nicholson) Cox.

She moved to Millersburg, IN at the age of four. She and her husband, Melvin Wilbur Nisbeth square danced for over 40 years and loved to travel, visiting all 50 states as well as Canada and Mexico in their own camper and motorhome. Ella received Christ at a very young age and kept her faith in God. She had three sets of twins losing one set before birth.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Melvin Wilbur Nisbeth, in December 2003; parents; sisters, Martha Isabell (Cox) Sizemore and Margie Doris (Cox) Stephenson; brother, William Henry Cox; eldest daughter, Marian Fay Welte in 1997; and son, Marian's twin, Melvin Ray Nisbeth of North Ft Meyers, FL in 2015.

She is survived by her youngest set of twins, Linda Sue (Don) Parker of Poole, KY and Larry Hugh (Carolyn) Nisbeth of Evansville; grandchildren, Marian Blanchard of Madisonville, KY, Gayle Lynn (David) Odem of Eddyville, KY, Betty Margaret (Christopher) Broshears of Greenwood, Chad Lee (Chastity) Nisbeth of Evansville, Kim (Scott) Wire of Evansville, Mark (DeEtta) Welte of Vincennes, Lisa (William) Sbal of Avon, Greg (Dorothy) Welte of Lake Jackson, TX, Ben (Amy) Welte of Vincennes, Nick (Susan) Welte of Boonville, and Curt (Jennifer) Welte of Evansville; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Pastor Vicki Hopkins, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
