Obituario de Marian Elaine (Faver) Isonhood
Marian Elaine Isonhood, 82, of Evansville, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Holiday Village Apartments. Her daughter, Robin, was present. She had been under Hospice Care for a brief time. Elaine was born in Henderson, KY on June 12, 1938 of parents, Omar and Mamie Faver. At an early age her family moved to Evansville, IN. She grew up in Evansville with two brothers and two sisters, David, Jim, Joan and Jean. Laine, as she was called by many, graduated from Bosse High School. She held various jobs before meeting her true love. She met Robbie (Ike) while he was on leave from the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell. They married on February 28, 1959. Shortly after, she started a family with children, Robin, Jim and Teresa. She was a stay at home mom that took care of everything. She was a devout wife and a great mother. She was active in all areas of her children’s lives and even became a leader in the Girl Scouts. After the kids were out of school, she and Ike bought Prizer Point Marina and Resort. They moved down to Barkley Lake and started a new career at the marina. Elaine was a critical part of the huge success of their new business. After 19 years of growing and running this business, they sold out and retired. They built a beautiful home on Lake Barkley and enjoyed entertaining the kids, grandkids and their friends at the lake. They also spent many winters in Florida at their place in Moore Haven. She and Robbie were described by many as being one. Each complimented the other’s weaknesses. Robbie passed away on August 26, 2020. They had been married 61 years. A big part of Elaine left that day as well. Five weeks later she has gone to join him in heaven with their Lord and Savior. Elaine is survived by daughter, Robin Biegert and husband, Keith of Cary, NC; son, James Isonhood and his wife Dawn of Henderson, KY; and daughter, Teresa Lancaster and husband, Mike of Evansville, IN. The Isonhoods have six grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be at Alexander Memorial Park, Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, Evansville, IN on Monday, October 5, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at the same location at 12:00 p.m. followed immediately by the entombment.
