Marie Tollas

Her first employment had been the Bookkeeper/Secretary for House of David in Benton Harbor, MI. She was also Secretary of the Presbyterian Ministers Fund, and previously worked at State Farm Insurance Company. Marie was a fulltime Pastor’s wife and mother, and a long term volunteer at Good Samaritan Home, where she was President of the Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Mary Davis; daughter, Linda Reeder; great granddaughter, Annah Fox; brothers, Robert , Art, and Donald Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bill; daughters, Christine Linville (Richard) of Madisonville, KY, DeeAnn Moore (Gary) of Evansville; son, Richard Tollas, of Evansville; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sister, Clarene Schaefer; brothers, Virgil Davis and Lee “Skip” Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were 10 AM Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Good Samaritan Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mary Hurley, with burial at St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Lynnville, IN. Friends visited Monday from 3 to 8 PM at Alexander East Chapel.
