His passion was military memorabilia, watching old war movies and tinkering with old juke boxes.
Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory W. Hankins.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Irene (Peterson) Hankins; son, Bryan Hankins; step-son, Alexander Miller; three grandchildren; brothers, Milton and Steven Hankins; and many nieces and nephews.
A brief prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street, officiated by Deacon Steven Hankins. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 p.m. until service time.
