Marlin W. Stilley

Marlin W. Stilley, 75, of Haubstadt, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 13, 1942, in Harrisburg, IL to the late Elmer and Marge Stilley. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Hadi Shriners, Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite. He played in several bands and loved having “jam sessions”. Marlin was preceded in death by his spouse, Marie Vessels; and brother, Lowell Stilley. He is survived by his step-daughter, Kina Slaton (Tim); step-son, Aaron Vessels; grandchildren, Jamie Deputy (Brian), Eric Slaton (Alicia), Megan Rutledge (Kyle) and Brody Vessels; great-grandchildren, Arabella Rutledge and Cassidy Gish; sister, Kay Watson; nephews, Josh Stilley, Michael Watson and Brian Watson; step-uncle, Claude Andrews; and Doug Hunter, who was like a son to Marlin.
