Most of her life was spent in New York with retirement to Vero Beach Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Robert McElfresh. Martha had five children: Shirley (Bill) Daley, Ronald (Sue) Martin, Jill (Bill) Braun and was preceded in death by daughters Laurie (Michael) Siemank and Terri Shaprio. Martha leaves 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters: Betty Hayes and Caroline Noel and two brothers: John Robert Deffendall and Charles Vernon Deffendall and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 13, 2012, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel, burial to follow. Friends may visit from 9:00 until service time at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St Vincent de Paul.
