

Butch graduated from Bosse High School in 1955 and was a United States Navy Veteran. Prior to working for and retiring from the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Building Authority, he worked as a cook at Wesselman’s Coffee Shop. He was a member of the Teamsters where he served as a shop steward. Butch was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching western movies and television shows. He was an avid Roy Rogers fan and enjoyed playing bingo. Butch was a member of First Ave Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Marcus and Novice; sisters, Sharon Wilkinson, Shirley Forcum and Retha Miller; and his wife, Beverly in 2017.
Butch is survived by his nephew, Michael Forcum (Julie); niece, Rita Brown (Alan); nephew, John Forcum (Barbara); nephew, Novice Smith (Julie); niece, Lynette Gram (Ed) and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor Ryan Bradney. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the Retired Veterans Memorial Club. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
