Mary Alice Hoffman, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Walnut Creek. She was born December 19, 1936, in Evansville, Indiana to the late Joseph “Bunt” and Alice (Saum) Reiter.
Mary graduated from Mater Dei High School. She retired as an Inspector at Koch Label. Mary enjoyed gardening, going to the Casino and traveling, especially to Gatlinburg. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church until its closing and is now a member of Good Shepheard Catholic Church. Mary is a member of the VFW Post #1114 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Howard Hoffman and brother, Melvin “Butch” Reiter.
Mary is survived by her children, Rhonda McCall (Dave) and Joseph Hoffman (Crystal); grandchildren, Kevin McCall (Claudia), Chris McCall, Katie Peets (Jonathan), Benjamin Hoffman (Sarah) and William Hoffman (Alex); great grandchildren, Eliza Hoffman, Wyatt Hoffman, Delilah McCall and Jacob Hoffman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Good Shepherd Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Road, officiated by Fr. Tom Kessler, with burial in St. Joe Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Alexander North Chapel and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.
