Mary Ruth Sanders

Mary enjoyed working crossword puzzles and going to church. She graduated from Shawneetown Community High School. She was employed for 20 years at Welborn Baptist Hospital in the Dietary Department. Mary was a member of Shawneetown General Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Grousky; son, Albert Grousky, Jr.; sisters, Viola Padgett and Eva Roberts; and brother, Bernice Deal.

Mary is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carroll Sanders; daughter, Darlene Combs (Phil); stepchildren, Kaye Koontz and Ronnie Sanders (Nellie); daughter-in-law, Susan Wilt; grandchildren, Gina Gist (Carl), Philip Combs, Jr. (Rhonda), LaDonna Montgomery (Larry), James Milligan, Barry Sanders, Lynette Sanders, Jeff Shauberger (Gladys), Ruth Ann, Kelley and Tracy; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial in Sunset Garden in Harrisburg, IL. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
