Matthew Alexander Rutter is, was, and will always be an incredible human being. His soul is one that is truly unforgettable, and his unique and loving influence has imprinted forever on those he has touched. Matt was not just a devoted member of his family, but also a friend to anyone and everyone, of any walk of life, animals strongly included. Matt became a soul friend, a brother, to any lucky persons who were fortunate enough to share in his company and to bear witness to his insatiable and contagious laughter. Matt was accepting of anyone and everyone, always embracing the good and keeping judgement low, he only wanted everyone to be happy and to be happy with him, whether separated by distance or not. And whether he was in a group or just one-on-one with you, his energy pulled and guided the way to deeply meaningful friendship and adventure, to a special connection between people that can only be described as love. He cultivated in his reflection, a sense of courage to be himself and to not fear it or be ashamed, and he shared that bravery with his family and friends, bringing them all together both in life and in passing. Matthew loved his loyal canine companion May Mobey, whom he was inseparable from, as well as his soulmate Dane whom he worked and resided with. Matt enjoyed exploring the earthly world for the oyster that it is, not holding back from the now, always appreciating the sensation of the moment. He loved to hike and spend his free time doing recreational activities out in mother nature, enjoyed his job at Show Place Cinemas with beloved colleagues, and always had a good time out on the town with his many social groups. He loved to travel and meet new people and experience all the invigorating aspects of life that he possibly could, all the while sharing that joy with those around him. Matt intensified with light every environment he entered, making anything a party and bringing one hundred percent of himself in his self expressions. He was such a unique and rare type of person, hilarious and simple yet complex and insightful, but above all he was always loving and loyal to the core. A teddy bear to all. He could be happy doing anything as long as he had laughter and memories to share with and to create. He was also talented in the arts, creative in every aspect of his personality and perspective, as well as an avid appreciator. He was a passionate film and music observer with unmatchable taste. Matt's sensitivity to all of life brought him many profound relationships with those he loved, making life long friendships and attracting the adoration of animals like a natural instinct. There are endless beautiful things to say in the name of Matthew Alexander Rutter, and his unexpected passing has broken the hearts of loved ones on a massive scale. But if anything is certain, he will never be forgotten and will always live in our souls as we forever live in his. Truly a one of a kind.
