

She will be remembered for her sweet smile, fun loving personality and her penchant for style. The owner of the Beauty Walk hair salon, Jean had a flair for hair and a passion for fashion. She later opened the Bridal Boutique with daughter, Mary Jean, with the idea of having a one stop bridal shop. She enjoyed dancing, was an enthusiastic bowler, adored socializing and playing cards for hours on end. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Perry Sexton, her beloved husband, Frank Wayne DeRado; and her sister, Helen Griepenstroh.
She is survived by her four beloved children, Mary Jean (Ed) Heft, Joe (Renita) DeRado, Debbie (Byron) Stirsman, and Kim (Greg) Morse; sister, Sherry (Jim) Rimstidt; grandchildren, Yvette Farrell, Roger Merkel, Matt Merkel, Katherine Lowry, Erica Davis, Ian Stirsman, and Paul Miller; 11 great-grandchildren; along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Fr. Tom Kessler, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
