Michael D. Daugherty

Michael D. Daugherty, 65, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born November 26, 1949, in Evansville, IN to Winfred C. and Delores J. Daugherty.

He was a disabled US Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. Michael enjoyed golf and poker and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Winfred C. Daugherty; and daughter, Mary Denise Frey.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary K. (Wright) Daugherty; daughters, Terri (Harold) Rushing and Michelle (Mike) Evans; sons, Michael D. (Pamela) Daugherty II and Thomas J. (Debra) Daugherty; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one in the oven cooking; mother, Delores Daugherty; brothers, William L. Daugherty, David E. (Monica) Daugherty and Timothy J. “Tex” (Becky) Daugherty; sister, Margaret R. Holland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Friday, December 19, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial with military rites in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
