Mike joined the US National Guard right out of high school where he served four years as a Mechanic in the 163rd Field Artillery. He was an ASE Master Technician for D-Patrick Ford for 32 years where he loved and took pride in his work. He was even known to have a side hustle of selling candy out of his toolbox. He enjoyed fishing, camping at Yellowbanks, and beach vacations in Florida with his family. He took pride in always looking his best in his Levi's and t-shirt, and having a great tan. He loved working in the yard, and collecting and playing his pinball machines. Mike always drove a new Ford F-150 Platinum, and loved a good steak dinner, his Little Debbie cakes, and ice cream. He was a hard working, devoted dad, and he was very proud of his girls. He was also a loving husband and a good friend to all. His friends knew him as "MFL" and his parents called him "Jake".
