

She retired from Indiana Bell after 25 years of dedicated service and was a proud member of the Telecom Pioneers. Mildred had a passion for reading, solving crossword puzzles, and crocheting. Above all, she cherished her family and animals.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wilbur A. Demarest.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Demarest (Anna); daughter, Sara Ball; son, John Demarest; daughter, Linda Evans (Mike); grandchildren, Craig Behnke, Shane Evans, Joseph Demarest, Samantha Demarest, and Brian Ball; great-grandson; brother-in-law, Harold Meeks; and niece, Julie Meeks.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. Visitation will be held from Noon to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Sunset Memorial Park.
