She was proud to be a graduate from Memorial High School in 1947. At Memorial, she met her future husband, Charles Stumpf. She had a wonderful group of lifelong friends from Memorial that continued to meet until passing. After raising her children, she graduated with an LPN degree from USI. Nancy worked for years serving others by being a kind caretaker in area nursing homes.
As an enthusiastic golf fan, she was a part of area groups and served as an officer, donating her time and energy. Throughout her life, she also liked to dance, bowl, read and play bridge with her friends.
Our mother was a very sociable person and quick to crack a joke and tease her friends to bring a smile to their face. When asked "How are you?" she was known to reply "Marvelous!" Always the life in a room, a few of her last words were "I'm ready to go Honky Tonkin." We are comforted by her additional words "I'm ready to go see my other loved ones" which passed before her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles (Sonny) Stumpf, and second, Gene McGuyer; her son, Garry (Donna) Stumpf in 2024; sisters, Mary, Geneva, Cecilia, Betty, and Harriet Ann.
Survived by her children Larry (Kim) Stumpf, Terry (Angie) Stumpf, David Stumpf, and Kathy Elliott (John Mathias); 10 grandchildren, Kenny, Charlie, Louie, Shelly, Suzanna, Jonathan, Steven, Kristen, Cory, Trey; 13 great grandchildren which she loved them all; and sisters Carol, Shirley, Cindy, and Dorothy Jean.
Our family wishes to publicly thank the wonderful people at Newburgh Health Care and Linda E. White Hospice House who were so kind and generous with their skills. We appreciate the care you gave our beloved mother with the special set of services she needed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice in honor our mother loved her dogs throughout her life.
