She was a long time member of University Heights Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed flowers, gardening, and in recent years loved to travel.
Nell is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Fleming in 2008; sisters, Marjorie Bethel and Eloise Perry; brothers, Edgar and Lawrence Bethel.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Johnson of Evansville; grandsons, Joel W. Johnson of Newburgh and Nathan A. Johnson of Greenwood, IN; great-granddaughter, Kari Johnson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Michael Rittichier and Lee Russell, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
